With construction beginning
in 1965, the Marina Aquatic Center replaced a wooden boathouse
structure on La Ballona Creek with a cinderblock boathouse and
expanded its offerings to include sailing.

The Marina Aquatic Center continues to evolve and improve
to meet the needs of UCLA's students, staff, alumni, and the
general community.
